Who runs this site

This site is run by me, Him Yip. If you have any question about your data, email me at hello@himyip.co.uk.

Analytics, only if you accept

I use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read. It only runs if you click Accept in the cookie banner. It records:

• the pages you view
• your rough location, at country and city level
• your device and browser
• how you arrived, for example from a search engine or a link

Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. Advertising features are switched off: no ad cookies, and no selling or sharing of data for advertising.

If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and Google is not loaded at all.

Analytics data is kept for 14 months, then deleted.

Cookies

If you accept, Google Analytics sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_FF46VZYJ6G. They last up to 2 years, which is Google's default.

Your choice itself is stored in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie.

You can change your mind at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page.

Where your data is processed

This site is hosted on Microsoft Azure (Static Web Apps).

Google may process analytics data outside the UK, under its own safeguards.

Emails you send to hello@himyip.co.uk are used only to reply to you.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can:

• ask for a copy of your data
• ask for it to be corrected or deleted
• object to how it is used
